Media has a played large role in my life and in parts of my career. Much of the work I have done in media has consisted of the visual arts and writing. However, I have also had the opportunity to partake in event production for special events, concerts, and conferences for about 15-years during my time in the media world.
As an anthropologist, using various forms of media is very useful especially when conducting a research project or presenting findings. From documentation to storytelling, media may serve as a tool that allows researchers, such as myself, to connect with audiences from various backgrounds and professions who are interested in learning about human problems and experiences, but do not find anthropological research findings accessible.
In my efforts to continue using media as a bridge for information on the human experience, I have created short videos for my social media sites which allow me to reach audiences of different age ranges to share the numerous ways humans connect with the natural world. On this page, you will find examples of the video work I have created for social platforms such as Instagram (@clever.grasshopper), YouTube (Anthrolatina – Official), and TikTok (@anthrolatina). All videos are edited, voiced, and written by me. In many instances, visual elements have also been captured by me. Feel free to click on the videos below to view samples of my work.
Social Media
Like many professionals today, I also manage various social media sites:
YouTube: Anthrolatina – Official
Twitter: @anthrolatina
TikTok: @anthrolatina
LinkedIn: Anya Meave

Instagram is the platform that I prefer most to share my visual content. Below you will see my Instagram page feed which is updated frequently. If you find yourself on any of the platforms listed above and you are interested in learning more about how humans connect with nature, feel free to give me a follow. Thanks and gracias!
